Last night I dreamed of some of my past visits to Egypt. On waking, I realized that next year it will be 20 years since my first visit to Egypt. As I have always flown in via Cairo, this extraordinary city has been part of every trip.
These photos are a selection from those two decades. In 1993 I thought that visit would be my once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Egypt. I am so blessed to have been able to return and continue exploring and now to live here, even with all the ups and downs this has involved.
There are over 100 images in this slideshow so make yourself a cup of something good, then settle in for a wander around this amazing city which continues to reveal new faces each time I return there.
