INSTAGRAM - meet me thereDetails of organic cotton Turkish towels which were handwoven on looms especially for @jennifershamam Photos 1 and 2 show both sides of Mirhab design and photo 5 shows the reverse side of Wave design, the front of which you can see two posts previous. This is just to show you how beautifully these as made, both sides are perfect. Limited editions of each design are woven, and in many other gorgeous colours (I just love blues and greens). The bathrobe made from two towels that I treated myself to is possibly the most comfortable garment I've ever worn, I really could live in it. You can read the story behind these and why they are superior to mass produced machine woven towels at https://organicmattersblog.com/2018/07/05/the-lost-turkish-art-of-handwoven-towels and https://www.jennifershamam.com #istanbul #oneistanbul #everydayistanbul #everydayturkey #Turkey #ig_turkey #photo_turkey #weaving #handwoven #organiccotton #towels #traditionalcraft #jennifershammam #travellingthroughtheworld #lonelyplanet #beautifuldestinations #trover #nationalgeographicHandmade ceramic tiles from http://lesartsturcs.com swimming on a handwoven, organic cotton towel from @jennifershamam Turkey has many crafts and arts that should be celebrated by choosing some to bring home, where they will remind you of your travels. #istanbul #oneistanbul #everydayistanbul #everydayturkey #Turkey #ig_turkey #photo_turkey #tiles #ceramic #handmade #weaving #handwoven #organiccotton #towels #traditionalcraft #jennifershammam #turquoise #blue #travellingthroughtheworld #lonelyplanet #beautifuldestinations #trover #nationalgeographicHandwoven, organic cotton towels that are divinely soft and can last for 10 years? Yes thank you @jennifershamam When I travel I won't buy souvenirs that have no usefulness, or that are made of plastic or synthetics which ultimately damage our environment. I like to bring home for myself and as gifts for friends some examples of local crafts. If you do a little research you can get high quality handcrafts that don't have to be large or weigh down your luggage. I especially like to support those businesses who support traditions that may otherwise be lost, such as weaving. You can read the story behind these traditional Turkish towels from Jennifer's Hamam and why you should support the making of these beauties instead of buying machine woven towels at https://organicmattersblog.com/2018/07/05/the-lost-turkish-art-of-handwoven-towels and https://www.jennifershamam.com #istanbul #oneistanbul #everydayistanbul #everydayturkey #Turkey #ig_turkey #photo_turkey #weaving #handwoven #organiccotton #towels #traditionalcraft #jennifershammam #travellingthroughtheworld #lonelyplanet #beautifuldestinations #trover #nationalgeographicDetail of the carpet in Sultanahmet mosque, showing the flowers of Paradise.
